‘North Ridge Neb’

Hairy, Enthusiastic, Friendly. Going into my 4th year, I must be the luckiest dog around! In case you don’t know, I’m a Patterdale Terrier, also known as a ‘Black fell Terrier’ and am a famous Lake District working breed.

My master takes me everywhere (except scrambling and mountaineering trips) so I get to meet loads of nice people who all seem to want to walk for hours - then we get to camp out in the woods, or in a tent (don’t worry - I only go in the boss’ tent). Apparently, all this hill walking is because people want to get really good at various human things, like:

Map Reading and Navigation. Why can’t human’s just follow their noses like us dogs?

Mountaineering & Hill walking. Mmm. Small dogs like me prefer the Hill Walking, but I have been up a few mountains - Snowdon, Glydders, Scafell, Goatfell (Isle of Arran)

Survival Courses. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Playing in the woods, and eating sausages (and catching things)! Yes yes yes yes!!!

Trail Running. Now we’re talking. Race you!!!
