Sleepwalker Night raceA modern classic: TRA and UKA approved
UK Athletics and Trail Running Association approved, this is a premier event in the UK's Trail Running calendar and as far as we know, the ONLY official Night Race (ie proper distance and terrain for TRA race calendar). It's been designed by runners, for runners and is rapidly becoming a modern classic with its traditionally low-key and friendly atmosphere. New Course Record is 2:26 (2009) All the runners seem to agree Sleepwalker is a great race with 100% approval on www.Runnersworld.co.uk and 100% of runners saying "yes, I would do it again!" - as organisers we will continue to make improvements where we can and look forwards to welcoming you in November. Some feedback from the last Sleepwalker ..."Best trail race you could want to do. It is difficult to put into words the feeling of running through the Brecons in pitch black with only your headtorch for visibility. As a trail runner, simply in a league of its own. Organisers were great and other competitors were extremely friendly. If you have not considered this race, I would definitely advise a rethink, you will definitely not regret it" "A magical mystery tour... a line of headtorch lights bobbing up a frost hardened hill. Icecrunching, fogconfusing magic!" "A tough race with an element of danger enolved. Always good to finish a race as this one, it had it all, full of action from start to finish. From thick freezing fog to a clear star lit night. the sound of breaking ice, loose rocks and mud splash will haunt me for ever. A good tip is to watch out for low branches as they will also make you see stars, good torches a must!" "Fun factor is very high; reasonable navigational skills required and the confidence to run at night in the hills. If you have some experience of trail running and know how to use a map, go for it!"
