It's a fact there are risks, so people want to learn more - to be prepared and although you can be entertained and gain knowledge from books and TV, it's no substitute for 'hands on' experience, and nowhere near as much fun!

We have a clear focus on Survival - those essential skills and attitudes which will keep you and yours alive, should the worst ever happen. Within this context we also make time for traditional bushcraft skills, but remain clear about priorities – survive the night, survive the next day, plan to get out of there!

Not only do we give you all the knowledge, we also give you experience -because dealing with the uncertainty and a degree of physical discomfort on our realistic exercises (Survival Experience), will help you start to develop the confident reactions necessary to deal with real situations.

Attitude is all important so imagine being able to turn a miserable group of survivors into an optimistic one with high morale. We will give you the psychological strategies and language patterns so you will always be seen as a leader and motivator.

Duncan presents regularly at various Outdoor Shows and is supported by a great team who are knowledgeable, experienced and enthusiastic. Also, we're pretty relaxed and our courses are a lot of fun!

Essential Survival

This enjoyable 2-day course gives you the knowledge to deal effectively with almost any survival situation yet is fun and not too hard.

We recognize that this may be people's first experience of survival skills, so we make sure the course is fun and easy to get involved in, whilst always prioritizing your safety and learning. The course is suitable for all ages and we can arrange special events for groups. You will at all times have an instructor available to offer assistance or explain things further.

The Survival Experience

Some of our courses go further; allowing you to explore the physiological and psychological effects of survival within a supervised and structured environment.

This exciting and rewarding course takes place over 4 days and includes a realistic exercise phase during which students will need to use their skills and determination in order to 'survive'. Highly recommended.

Survival Instructor Award

We are the first UK school to offer the Survival Instructor Award. This exciting new professional course runs over a full 12 months and will provide an entry point into the industry for new instructors as well as professional recognition for all graduates.

Structured around a minimum of 160 'Guided Learning Hours' students will need to be self motivated in order to complete additional reading and projects and should be aware that the course will involve performance assessment for all the key subject areas.

Your reward for successfully completing the course will not only be the Certificate of Achievement, backed by a rigorous quality standard which potential employers will recognise, but greatly increased knowledge and self confidence. You really will Experience the Next Level!

We are currently inviting enquiries from potential students who are comfortable living outdoors, and who already have some outdoor skills. This Award is restricted to those over 18 years of age.
