Wishing you a very merry Christmas and a happy, safe and adventurous New Year.

Whatever you get up to may you find it fulfilling and rewarding, big grins is what it's all about, right? If you have an idea for a trip you would like to develop, or we can help in any other way just pick up the phone for a chat - advice is free and you never know what's cooking - we have had many customers in the past who have enjoyed unique courses by teaming up with others which allows bespoke training at a lower cost if you can be flexible on dates.

2010 will see all the favourite events taking place, Welsh 3000s (in one go), the Sleepwalker Night Race now 4 years old and going from strength to strength, Ultimate Endurance (Long Drag) is going strong and waiting for someone to complete (very close this year) and we have even lowered the price this year to enable pairs entries.

There will be year round map reading courses in a variety of locations, of course night navigation through the darker months plus all of the Mountain Experience courses which have proved so popular with groups and for expedition readiness.

Especially exciting for me will be the commencement of the Survival Instructor training course, spanning an entire year and taking place in mountain, forest and coastal locations - in addition to the regular survival courses. Following on from this, and looking even further to the future, in February 2011, North Ridge Adventure will be leading an exploratory Jungle Survival Experience to the mountains and coastal swamplands of Belize, Central America! We already have the local experts in place so watch this space as, like all our events, we will only be taking a small group with us on each trip.

Be safe, Duncan

PS: The photo was taken on 23rd December this year in the Arrochar Alps. Just seizing the opportunity the weather gave us and what a brilliant trip that was...
