Dear customers, We are now an APPROVED NCFE CENTRE (number 8461950)!...and this award is fully approved at LEVEL 4 under the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) In addition Lofty Wiseman has given permission to use his work throughout the course. This is something I will be be glad to do and its a matter of pride to me that he has recognised the authenticity of what I am trying to do with this award. We will all benefit greatly from Lofty's input and whilst we will be studying a wide range of literature, PLANning will be central to everything! As an extra little bonus, every candidate can look forwards to receiving a free signed copy of Loftys latest full colour book - the Ultimate SAS Survival Guide! APPLICATIONS ARE NOW INVITED and as at 25th September there were 4 places remaining in 2011 so if you want to be one of the first to achieve this prestigious new award why not get in touch soon? You need to have decent outdoor experience and be prepared to share it, learn from each other, and work hard consolidating your instructional practice. I will help you to put the polish on to what you know and can do, and there are many ways to show your capability. One of the things I particularly like about NCFE is their determination to make awards available to as wide a range of learners as possible - so if school wasn't your favourite place, don't worry....pick up the phone and let's see what is possible. This is going to be powerful and potentially career (life??) changing in its scope and represents extremely good value - even more so when you consider the early bird offer - pay in full by the end of September and receive 2 full days training for free! Whether you are interested in consolidating your skills with a view to instructing/ setting up your own business or for personal development then do get in touch. Numbers are strictly limited. The award comprises 9 mandatory units and looks like this, taking over 150 guided learning hours (GLH). Full details will be posted on the website soon: Unit 01 Developing a framework and strategy for the practice and instruction of survival skills
Unit 02 Establishing shelter from the weather
Unit 03 Obtaining, conserving and purifying water
Unit 04 Developing approaches for creating and managing fire
Unit 05 Acquiring food by using effective hunter / gatherer skills
Unit 06 Combining historical and modern approaches to navigation and route finding
